David Dugan grew up in a working class family, where his father
was a machinist for Owens-Illinois Glass Mfg. and his mother a homemaker.
He is a life-long resident of Southern Illinois having graduated
from Southwestern High School in 1978. He was the first in his family
to have the privilege of attending college, and graduated from Eastern
Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois in 1982. David went
on to graduate from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1985.
He is licensed to practice law by the Illinois Supreme Court. He
is also a member of the bar for the Southern District and Central
District Illinois Federal Courts. David is a member of the Illinois
Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial
Lawyers Association, National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Southern
Illinois Federal Bar Association.
Davids practice centers on personal injury, insurance litigation,
and federal criminal defense.
David and his wife, Susan, have one child, Sarah, and reside in
Bethalto.
