David W. Dugan has been a pilot since he was in High School and has been flying for over 30 years. In that time, he has acquired numerous ratings, including Flight Instructor (CFI & CFII) and Airline Transport Rating. He has piloted numerous turbo-prop and turbo-jet aircraft, and is type rated in all Sabreliner aircraft. He has flown as an air-ambulance pilot, corporate pilot and as a test pilot on Navy aircraft.
His experience in the cockpit has translated to a unique viewpoint when representing pilots who face FAA charges and even criminal charges arising out of aircraft operations or accidents. He currently practices before the National Transportation and Safety Board on behalf of private and professional pilots. David is a designated counsel for the AOPA.
